Our Mission
Welcome to Walrus and Wine, a heartfelt initiative founded by friends Chuck Latham and PGA Tour Player Craig Stadler, the 1982 Masters Champion.
Chuck, inspired by his brother with special needs, understands the challenges and scarcity of resources many families face. His love for his brother fuels his passion to unite friends and strangers alike for the greater good of the community.
Craig Stadler, known for his impressive golf career—including a historic win at the B.C. Open at age 50, just a week after his first Championship Tour victory—brings his champion spirit to our mission. With experience on two Ryder Cup teams and an appearance in the movie "Tin Cup," Craig is thrilled to partner with Chuck. Together, they host the Walrus and Wine event, giving back in meaningful ways to support others. Join us in creating a safe haven and a thriving community for all!
Our vision is to improve the lives of young people through the game of golf. Golf serves as more than just a sport; it is a powerful tool for young individuals to develop healthy exercise habits, build strong character, and boost self-confidence. It also connects them with inspiring mentors and fosters lifelong friendships.
Equally, our commitment extends to improving the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities, who often encounter unique challenges. We strive to provide them with community living options and engaging activities that align with their interests. Our goal is to promote healthy living, offer safe environments, and create opportunities for friendship and enjoyment.
Our mission is to enhance the lives of young people through the transformative game of golf, while also supporting organizations dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
